Year 4 had a very successful time making delicious crumbles this week! After doing a taste test of pears, apples and spices, pupils used the fruit they had selected to create their own crumbles. They learnt how to weigh the butter, flour and sugar and mixed it together with their hands which turned out to be very messy! The crumbles were then constructed by placing the mixed ingredients on top of the fruit and finishing off the dish with a sprinkling of spices and oats. The completed desserts were taken home to cook and review – we look forward to hearing just how delicious they turned out to be!
