Reception classes have had a great first week back after the break. The children have begun their new topic, People Who Help Us, which we will be exploring over the next few weeks. This week, our focus has been on doctors.

Our role-play areas were transformed into a doctor’s surgery, where the children enjoyed taking on different roles and using new vocabulary such as x-ray, stethoscope and bandages. We were also very lucky to have a special visit from Katie Hill (Poppy’s mum in Oak class), who is a GP. She gave the children a fantastic insight into her job and answered lots of curious questions.
