Surrey County Council (SCC) and partner agencies published a five year All Age Autism Strategy in September 2021. The strategy has been bought together by autistic children, young people, adults and family carers together with professionals from across Surrey’s service system to make our ambitions clear. Following the consultation, SCC identified the need for family carers to be able to access training, at the right time, to enhance their understanding of how autism affects their family members and explore practical ways of supporting them. This is a priority for them and they are currently developing a broad offer across education, health, care and the voluntary sector to ensure that they can achieve this ambition.

 SCC will be implementing an enhanced offer later in the year, but in the meantime, there are a range of alternative support offers which we hope you will find helpful:
